Join us for the first Towncast Day on August 25!
TOWNCAST DAY IS SOLD OUT! See you at the game!
UPDATE: The first Towncast Day is Sunday, August 25th, and a previously cancelled Jackals game has been rescheduled for the same day! That’s right, your Towncast Day ticket gets you into TWO games: one starting at 2:05pm and the Towncast Day game at 4:35pm.
Come see the New Jersey Jackals face Canada’s Aigles Trois-Rivieres at the legendary and newly refurbished Hinchliffe Stadium! The NJ Jackals are partners with Major League Baseball and you never know who is going up to the big leagues!
Hinchliffe Stadium has stood in the heart of the Great Falls Historic District of Paterson, NJ for over 90 years. The stadium played a pivotal role in the civil rights and social justice movements as a place for African American players to play in a time when they were excluded from the Major Leagues. The stadium was also a hotspot for sports, racing, comedy, and music throughout the 20th century. It is the first National Historic Landmark honoring baseball, and the only sporting venue in a National Park.
Though it has a storied history, the stadium fell into disrepair and was closed in 1997. The closure marked “the beginning of a decades-long crusade to protect and preserve this important site.” Through combined efforts with the city of Paterson and community members, over $100 million dollars were invested to reopen the stadium in 2023.
